Holy Rood Church is holding a short service while meeting all current Covid-19 regulations. Please watch out for the signage and stewards indicating what you should do.

It will primarily be for those who can’t access Church Online and who are older and/or at risk of isolation.

Entrance is through the normal porch door. Please observe the hygiene measures that are in place and the one way system that will take you out through a different door.

We are pleased to be able to worship in church again, however we are not yet able to return to normal and this service will be conducted following the current Covid-19 guidelines.

Services are now taking place weekly, except for any fifth Sunday of the month. On the first two Sundays of the month the service will be Holy Communion. Current regulations and guidelines will be followed, this means that currently only a wafer will be given during communion, it is currently not safe to share the wine together.

Please note that if you are able to, you should wear a face mask to the service.

St. Edmund’s is unable to seat its normal congregation while maintaining the required social distancing. The congregation has therefore been split into two, with one half invited to the first and third Sundays and the other half to the second and fourth Sundays.

If you are not a regular member and would like to come to a service, please contact the office on 01329 661154 or office@croftonparish.org.uk and we will make arrangements for there to be seating available for you.

Raising Faith Course @ On Zoom

Crofton Parish are partnering with Paul & Becca Chamberlain at St Faith’s, Lee-on-the-Solent, to offer the excellent ‘Raising Faith’ parenting course from Care for the Family.

This will be a 6-session course offered over Zoom for anyone who wants tips and advice on how to inspire their children’s faith.

The course is not just for parents but also for carers, grandparents and godparents. Each session gives you the opportunity to discuss your own experiences and explore some key parenting principles.

The course runs for six weeks, starting Monday 1 February on Zoom, 7.45-9.30pm. There is a suggested donation of £5 towards the cost of the course, and for that you will receive a copy of the course booklet in the post for you to use each week.

Woman’s Hour is a chance for the ladies of Crofton Parish to gather together online across Streams. The meeting is hosted by Kathryn England. There will be an opportunity to share, to pray and to watch a video of Cathy Madavan on the topic of resilience, with insights from her latest book ‘Irrepressible’.

Crofton United has moved to Sunday afternoon and will meet every two weeks. From January this will again be a Zoom meeting.

Crofton United is for school years R to 6.

There will be worship, fun, games, looking at the Bible and learning about Jesus together in a Covid-secure setting.

So we can properly prepare for everyone attending will you please register your children for each session they plan to attend. Please complete your registration by the Thursday before Crofton United meets.

Our youth groups, FUSE and EXPLOSION, meet on Sunday evening. Currently we are having to meet by Zoom again.

FUSE is for school years 7 to 9 and EXPLOSION is for school years 10 to 13.
