to know Christ and make Christ known

Deanery afternoon at Titchfield Abbey

25th June 2017 @ 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Scout Hut to Titchfield Abbey
The parishes in Fareham Deanery are converging on Titchfield Abbey this afternoon.  For three hundred years after it was founded in 1222 the Premonstratensian canons who lived there acted as priests to the local area.  It is therefore fitting that the deanery parishes are meeting where this austere order of priests lived.
Parishes have been encouraged to walk to the Abbey as a pilgrimage or prayer walk.  If you would like to walk meet at the Scout Hut on Titchfield Road at 1pm.
At the Abbey there will be fun and entertainment from 2 to 3pm, a service of celebration at 3pm, and a bring and share tea and time to enjoy each other’s company until 5pm.  If you don’t feel up to walking to the Abbey do just come along to the Abbey for 2pm.
