to know Christ and make Christ known

Crofton Parish runs a number of vibrant youth groups for young people. These groups meet in Holy Rood Church Centre unless otherwise stated. Whether you are local or visiting the area we would love for you to join us at any of these meetings.

Our Sunday morning group called Vision meets in the church centre during the 9:30am Family Service for young people in school years 7 to 11. Our aims are to learn more about the Christian faith through fun and friendship

Our Cyfa group is for young people in school years 9 to 13 and meets on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month in the church centre for delicious food, discussion, fun and friendship.  We gather from 5pm and then join the evening service together.

Flame is an after school club for young people in school years 7 to 10. We meet on Fridays from 3:15pm to 5pm. There’s toast and drinks to combat those pesky after-school hunger pangs, followed by a varied programme of fun games with plenty of prizes, discussion groups and lots of outside activities including trips to theme parks, weekends away, Playzone, sleepovers and much more.

Beacon happens every Thursday evening and is for young people in school years 10 to 13.   We meet from 7.30pm to 9pm; there is table tennis, pool, Playstation, nail bar, tuck shop and plenty of free cakes and hot chocolate – all are welcome.

Once a month we have a group called FAST – Friday At Seven Thirty. This is for young people in school years 10 to 13. As well as lots of activities such as table tennis, Playstation and pool there are pizzas or other tasty food. We also welcome guest speakers to come and share with us.

We have small groups are for school years 8 to 13 – there are different groups depending on your age. They meet in various homes in the parish or at the church on either  Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evenings. This is a great way to explore the Bible in an age appropriate group and to meet with others for fellowship.

During the year we organise a number of times away, including camping at the Christian youth festival Soul Survivor and Fairthorne Manor residential weekends.
