Our Annual Meeting is on a Sunday afternoon this year. There will be a cream tea from 3:30, with the Annual Meeting starting at 4:30pm. There will be a film show for children while the Annual Meeting is on. We hope that these changes will make it easier for more people to come along.
There are formal parts of the Annual Meeting when we elect churchwardens and church council members, but it is really a chance to come together as the Crofton Parish community to remember with praise and thanksgiving all that God has done in the parish in 2017 and to prayerfully look forward to God’s vision for 2018 and beyond.
There will be elections for four church council (PCC) members to serve for three years. Do prayerfully consider whether you have the gifts and skills required to serve in this important way.
There are more details about the APCM on the Crofton Hub>>> . You’ll find the 2017 Annual Report and a PCC Candidate Nomination form here and a sign up form for the cream tea.
Family Fun Afternoons are an opportunity families in our community to have fun and learn together. They are for families with children in primary school, but if your kids are a bit younger or older and you would like to come, you would be very welcome.
During these Family Fun Afternoons, we turn the entire Holy Rood site into an activity centre. After a short welcome there are zones running across the whole site: craft zones, a beauty zone, a baby zone for younger children, a sports zone, a glamour zone, a build zone and more. There is also be a cafe area if you need a cup of tea or squash. Finally, we finish with an all-together time from 3-3:30pm where families can learn and have fun together.
Do come along with your kids. Doors open at 1:45pm and entry is £3 per family. You don’t have too have any other involvement with Crofton Parish to come – this event is for the whole community!
