Like all organisations, Crofton Parish has variety of forms people need to complete so that the Parish can go about its work. A number of these forms can be printed from this page. It is not possible to accept electronic versions of these forms yet. Please print the forms, complete them and return them to the Parish Office at Holy Rood Church. Paper versions of the forms are available in the churches. Please do not hesitate to contact the office if you are unsure about how to complete the forms.
The Electoral Roll is the closest a Church of England parish has to a list of members. If you are on the Electoral Roll you have the legal right to vote to elect Parochial Church Council (PCC) and Deanery Synod members at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting and to vote on other resolutions proposed at the meeting. More importantly though you show your commitment to Crofton Parish and desire to work to extend God’s Kingdom in the Parish.
You do have to meet certain criteria to join the Electoral Roll. The most important is that you should have been baptised, you should also live in the Parish or have regularly attended worship at Holy Rood or St. Edmund’s. If you are unsure as to whether you can join the Electoral Roll please contact the office.
Standing Order and Gift Aid Forms
To enable the planning of our finances, we encourage people to give to God’s work here through a bank standing order or using an envelope scheme. If you pay tax and complete the Gift Aid form the Parish is able to reclaim tax on the amount you give, increasing the value of the gift by 25%.
This Finance Leaflet contains both the Standing Order and the Gift Aid forms Finance Leaflet.
Nomination for Election to the Parochial Church Council (PCC) Form
Elections to the PCC are held each year at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) which is held in April. Each person nominated must have a proposer and seconder; all must be on the Crofton Parish Electoral Roll. The form indicates other reasons why a person may not be eligible to join the PCC.
